After a marathon tour of Europe, this past year and winning Album of the Year at the New Zealand Music Awards, Singer/songwriter/actor Marlon Williams has released a new video for “Beautiful Dress.” The track is off his current release Make Way For Love, which is now out on Dead Oceans. Marlon Williams will be heading out with Florence + Machine for a handful of dates in Australia and New Zeland, starting January 12th in Perth.

Directed by Charlotte Evans (Aldous Harding, Tiny Ruins), the video features Williams at home in his natural habitat. Of the video, Williams explains there’s “nothing so heartbreaking as nothing. When I think about the people I love preparing a meal in their homes, doing the dishes, carrying out the bare minimum actions of survival, it makes me want to cry. This is an exploration of the mundane. It’s not even an exploration. It’s just someone hanging out. It’s nothing.”

Marlon Williams had a busy year, not only releasing a new album, but also playing numerous festivals and a role in A Star Is Born, alongside Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. 2019, looks to be just as busy for Williams, he now turns to the studio with both a collaborative release and new solo music due for 2019, plus another acting project, major tours with Florence & The Machine, and a first-time orchestra show with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra
