Toronto’s finest, The Beaches share their latest single “Me & Me.” The track arrives ahead of their forthcoming album Blame My Ex, due out on September 15th. The track, reflects the group’s determination to conquer heartache and loneliness: “save your pity, bitch / it’s kind of fun, just me and me / won’t waste my life self-loathing.” The Beaches play this year’s edition of Lollapalooza, before heading out on a run of North American tour dates.

“Me & Me” serves as a follow-up to The Beaches’ previous single, “Blame Brett,” released late spring. The hit track was accompanied by a music video that encapsulates the group’s playfully irreverent, free-spirited brand of cool-girl rock. In a bold warning to all future lovers, frontwoman Jordan Miller sings, “I’m sorry in advance / I’m only gonna treat you bad / I’m probably gonna let you down / I’m probably gonna sleep around […] but don’t blame me, blame Brett”. “Blame Brett.”

Named after the neighborhood they lived in, The Beaches is composed of lead vocalist/bassist Jordan Miller, guitarist Kylie Miller, keyboardist/guitarist Leandra Earl, and drummer Eliza Enman-McDaniel. As self-proclaimed lifers, The Beaches forfeited a typical university experience to pursue their careers in music – a topic that is often addressed in their lyrics.

The Beaches have opened for The Rolling Stones and Foo Fighters, as well as many other artists, including Avril Lavigne, Alanis Morisette, Passion Pit, and Eagles of Death Metal, and more. Their last album was described by Elton John as “The best rock album of last year.”
