Beach Baby Share New Single "No Mind No Money" The track will be released in the US on June 23rd via B3SCI Records and Chess Club Records

Beach Baby have premiered new single “No Mind No Money.” The track will be released in the US on June 23rd via B3SCI Records (Chess Club Records in the UK).The new single follows the release of debut track “Ladybird”‘ released March 31st. Overseas, Beach Baby have toured with Jungle and Django Django. The band performs next at The Great Escape festival in Brighton, UK on May 15th and, in addition to some other UK shows and festivals this summer and fall, will make their US live debut at the CMJ Music Marathon in October.

On their second single, Beach Baby continue to release, warm but vaguely unsettling, “No Mind No Money” is an atmospheric blend of summery, ’60s-inspired American pop and moodier, alternative British new wave or post-punk (The Cure, The Durutti Column) that would follow later – all driven by Ollie and Lawrence’s languid, harmonic shared lead-vocals. Lyrically more yearning and ambiguous than “Ladybird,” this is as much about loss and frustration as it is trying to embrace that in some way (“and when I close my eyes, I find I’m left behind / that’s alright, yeah nevermind”). “No Mind No Money” was co-produced by William Lowes and given a suitably dreamy mix by Cenzo Townshend (together PANGEA, Skaters, Franz Ferdinand, The Fall).

The ‘No Mind No Money’ single will be accompanied by another brand new song – the driving, euphoric “U R” – together with a second video from Lily Rose Thomas, who directed the “Ladybird” clip, and which further establishes a visual narrative of femininity and suburban romance. The band will be announce future details shortly.

JUNE 13 LONDON, UK BUSHSTOCK FESTIVAL
