“Aviva” C418

Last Year, Minecraft composer Daniel Rosenfeld aka C418 released Excursions, his first LP of original work separate from Minecraft. Today, he shares a video for album track “Aviva”, announced via a Reddit AMA. The video, directed by Rocco Rivetti and Gilles O’Kane, is displayed in triptych (three panel) format, with the stylization inspired by 80’s filmmakers like Jim Jarmusch and Wim Wenders. The landscapes reflect the ambient nature of the song, with cinematic and unexpected moments peppered in. Rosenfeld added some sound design after the video was shot, making the audio unique to this video. C418’s current release Excursions is available via Driftless Recordings.
