Mike Polizze known for his work in Philadelphia band Purling Hiss and Birds of Maya will release his second summertime solo album, entitled Around Sound on July 11th via via Paradise of Bachelors. Ahead of the LP’s release, Polizze has shared “Around Sound.” Polizze plays every part and instrument on the album, and once again, he co-produced with longtime friend and collaborator Jeff Zeigler (War on Drugs, Kurt Vile, Mary Lattimore), who also engineered and mixed.

Polizze is not in a hurry. Comparing the album’s first single to its title track, Polizze says: “If ‘Everybody I Know’ is a soul-search about a lonely universe, then ‘Around Sound’ brings back the light of life.”

“I feel so much gratitude for what has become an era of working with Jeff Zeigler (for over a decade!) and to have him at the controls again recording and co-producing Around Sound.”
