Arlo Parks today unveils an official remix of her single “Heaven” by longtime friend and Canadian electronic pioneer Jacques Greene. Montreal-born and raised, the DJ and producer has spent the past decade pushing the boundaries of house music, establishing himself as one of dance music’s most captivating and enigmatic talents. His remix of “Heaven” is a shimmering, atmospheric club cut, built around warm house grooves and a touch of minimal nostalgia, offering a fresh and emotionally resonant interpretation of one of the standout tracks from Parks’ latest body of work.

On working together, Jacques Greene shares, “After talking to Arlo at length about her headspace while making her album and poking my head in during some of the sessions – I knew we were on the same wavelength. I didn’t want to reinvent this song, but rather awaken and unleash an energy that already existed within it. A lil flash and pomp but honestly, it’s all her radiance.”

The track follows the rework of “Floette” featuring London-based rapper, poet and producer John Glacier, offering a reimagined perspective on the track through the power of collaboration and creative evolution – a reflection of the spirit underpinning this era of her work.

Parks’ Desire was created alongside producer Baird (Brockhampton, Kevin Abstract), with additional production from longtime collaborator Paul Epworth (Adele, Florence + The Machine, Rihanna), Buddy Ross (Frank Ocean, Vampire Weekend) and Andrew Sarlo (Big Thief, Dijon).

Reflecting on the making of the record, Parks shares, “I danced more than ever as I made this record, I made more friends than ever too, found myself in the weird underbelly of New York juke nights, unleashed, laughed and laughed and laughed. This record has desire at its center. Desire is a life force, it’s a wanting, a yearning, a momentum – we are all alive because there is something or someone we want – desire is an engine. But it is also mysterious, tangled, random, enlightening and HUMAN.”
