Welsh artist Bethan Lloyd has a very interesting backstory, to say the least, the artist has trained as a classical singer, in Berlin’s experimental music scene, to learning with shamans, masters and the ancient teachings of the natural world. Her new single, “Aria”, Bethan, was produced alongside Pre-Human bandmate Isaac Ray, and combines Lloyd’s wonderfully unique vocals with a danceable beat. The track is off her forthcoming album Metamorphosis, July 7th 2023.

Written in Bryn Celli Ddu, a Neolithic burial chamber on the Isle of Anglesey, Aria is an ode to the ancient Welsh, to the Sun gods and sleeping ancestors. Stirring up a sense of the forgotten past, the chorus is an emotional cry for a sense of belonging and the desire to truly find one’s home.
