Ola Village releases his new single “Anger Problems,” the single follows “A Ok” and “Love To Cry”, with all 3 tracks set to appear on Ola Village’s debut EP, due for release later this year. Written and produced in his home studio in Oslo and mixed by frequent collaborator David Nakaji (Zack Villere, No Rome, Doja Cat).

A chorus of chanted vocals kick-starts “Anger Problems” before the song settles into a spritely piano motif, intertwined with Ola Village’s fantastical statements of intent: ‘Hey, did you know / Sometimes I push you in the river…Should’ve gotten rid of you yesterday / A god damn pain in the ass’.

Of the new single, Ola Village said: “Have you ever had crazy arguments and fights in your mind with someone, where you just demolish the other persons opinions? Well, that’s what this song is about. A sort of hymn to all of us passive aggressive heroes who just want to spread good vibes even when the opposite person is a complete asshole.”

“It’s a song about me making up arguments in my mind with people that I don’t like. And I win every time. It’s pretty nice. But it might also be an indication that I have some low-key anger problems. Either that or I’m really good at anger management. I don’t know.”

Taking inspiration from a broad spectrum of acts such as Tyler, The Creator, Radiohead, Bon Iver and Frank Ocean – Ola Village has already turned heads in his native Norway for his ability to combine poignant themes with catchy pop hooks. Under a separate pseudonym, this saw him win the country’s new-music competition ‘Urørt’ (meaning Untouched) with previous winners and nominees including girl in red, Pom Poko and Sløtface.
