“all that i’ve got” by Ellis

Ellis is the project of Linnea Siggelkow, the Hamilton, Ontario artist released her first album Born Again in April of 2020, which was followed in 2024 by no place that feels like.

During that period, Siggelkow was asked to collaborate with Ethel Cain, playing guitar on her album Preacher’s Daughter (Cain has also covered Ellis’ song “Embarrassing”), and becoming a full time member of Ethel Cain’s touring band over the past 18 months, travelling the world and playing festivals like Coachella and Primavera.

Today, Ellis has released new single entitled “all that i’ve got.” The song contains a confessional lament, she sings on the refrain “it’s all that I’ve got, and it’s never enough”, an anthem for the misfits of the world.

Ellis on “all that i’ve got:” “This song is about feeling like a loser no matter how hard I try. I’m not sure how much I believe in the concept of destiny but sometimes it feels like there’s nothing I can do to change mine, for better or for worse.
