“all i have” by Lionmilk

Lionmilk announces WHEN THE FLOWERS BLOOM, will drop on May 30, the album, is his debut for Stones Throw Records (Automatic, Knxwledge). On new song “all i have,” he reflects on a bad situation, but sees hope in it, too. “‘all i have’ is a snapshot of a time when I was giving everything I could in a relationship that wasn’t working,” Lionmilk says, “This song is about trying to love someone fully, even when you know they may not be able to love you back the same way. It’s a painful yet hopeful moment in the journey.”

Lionmilk produced, wrote and performed every instrument on WHEN THE FLOWERS BLOOM. Each personal story is told with a different musical style: “only one” calls back to Lionmilk’s DIY and lo-fi roots; instrumental “tom is in heaven” pays tribute to a family friend who introduced Lionmilk to jazz; and “não mais saudade” focuses the Brazilian concept of saudade (longing) onto a story of relationships.
