Aesop Rock Announces Second Leg Of Skelethon Tour

Keeping with the momentum of the first leg of his North American tour, indie rap cornerstone, Aesop Rock has announced a second string of dates for his Skelethon Tour, starting August 30th in Santa Cruz. Dark Time Sunshine will be opening and Rob Sonic and DJ Big Wiz will perform alongside Aesop for nearly two extra weeks in continuing support of his most recent release, out now on Rhymesayers Entertainment. Skelethon is Aesop’s latest solo effort and his first self-produced album. These dates follow his current tour on which Aesop delivers his audacious intensity and the occasional mid-set haircut.

In addition to tickets going on sale Friday, August 3rd, fans can go on zerofriends.com to purchase limited addition, 16″x20″ prints designed by artist/illustrator Alex Pardee along with his ZEROFRIENDS art & apparel brand. Proceeds will help recoup the loss of gear, laptops and hard drives stolen prior to what was scheduled to be the second show of the tour in San Francisco; later postponed to September 16th as a result of the crime. The limited addition print will be signed by both Aesop and Alex Pardee running for $50 a piece through August 6th or while supplies last. The day after the break-in, nearly 900 people came out for Aesop’s in-store appearance at Amoeba SF, a telling indicator of the undying support of his fans.
