“Advertising” by Teenage Mothers’

Australian five-piece, Teenage Mothers are set to release their debut album on 1-2-3-4 Records on the 6th of May 2016. The first single, ‘Advertising’ was released on March 25th. I Wish I Was Beautiful, will be released on CD and available digitally. The album was produced and mixed by Jim Sclavunos the esteemed drummer from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Grinderman and The Cramps. Featuring eleven tracks, I Wish I Was Beautiful was recorded at Birdland Studios in Melbourne where the late great Rowland S. Howard of The Birthday Party made his classic solo records.

Formed in Melbourne, Australia by Raph Brous. Teenage Mothers have played shows with some of their favourite Australian artists such as Lost Animal, Circle Pit, Deaf Wish, White Walls, Chook Race among others. The album track “I Don’t Wanna Play The Game” is a duet with Australian cult punk figure Jack Mannix. Teenage Mothers also toured Australia with The Kills and Palma Violets and opened for the legendary Lydia Lunch at the London show during the singer’s last UK tour. Teenage Mothers will return to Britain in the Summer and will play at the 1-2-3-4 festival in September 2016. More dates will be announced soon.
