“Accolades” by Little Junior

Toronto power-pop quartet Little Junior have signed to Grand Jury to release their new single, “Accolades” this Thursday, October 5 with a debut full-length, produced by John Agnello (Dinosaur Jr./Sonic Youth) due in 2018. The video for the single fueled by boy-band dreams, filmed on the rooftop helipad of a skyscraper in Guangzhou, China. In conjunction, Little Junior will hit the road in the Northeast of the U.S. starting Friday night, October 6 in Lancaster, followed by a Connecticut performance supporting Metz, two Brooklyn shows, plus Washington DC and Philadelphia.

Little Junior on the video:

The video for “Accolades” is pure boy band fantasy. While the lyrics explore jealous resentment, we know the best revenge is living well. And if flying to Guangzhou, China to shoot a video on a helipad isn’t living well, then what is?

Led by queer songwriter/vocalist Rane Elliott-Armstrong, with brother Chai Elliott-Armstrong on drums, Lucas Meilach-Boston on guitar, and Jackson Beyer on bass, Little Junior has supported Fidlar, Diarrhea Planet, Titus Andronicus in Canada, and toured the USA with Jay Som, The Courtneys, and now label mates NE-HI, releasing a video for their first single “Crybaby” in June. Later this month, the band will support/party with Andrew W.K. in Toronto.
