Puma Blue, has released a cover of “A Dream Is A Wish”, an intimate live performance captured at Eddie’s Attic, Atlanta earlier this year. A full live recording of the show is also set to be released as a limited-run 12”. The LP, titled on his own. (live at Eddie’s Attic, Atlanta), will be available exclusively at forthcoming North American tour dates. “A Dream Is A Wish”, originally taken from the soundtrack to Disney’s 1950 Cinderella film, was recorded during a solo set on March 1 of this year in Atlanta, a city which has become a spiritual second-home for Jacob, having spent six of the last twelve months there, isolating himself to work on his forthcoming debut album.

The show at Eddie’s Attic, added just 10 days before Puma Blue embarked on a full North American tour co-headlining with Blue Flowers label-mate Westerman, saw Jacob strip back his late-night jazz-tinged R&B sound to it’s bare-bones, re-imagining songs from debut EP Swum Baby and last years follow-up Blood Loss with just guitar and voice. The recording itself was, unknown to Allen, recorded by in-house sound engineer James Anthony Roberto, who handed him a USB containing the raw audio following his set.

Regarding “A Dream Is A Wish,” Puma Blue explains, “…it’s sort of been a song I come back to occasionally. It’s rare that I’ll play a show on my own anymore, and rare for me to play that song too, so I’ve never felt like I’ve nailed the song at any show. But that’s not really what it’s about to me, and at this intimate Atlanta show I just felt that draw to it again.”
