Lucid Express will drop their new album Instant Comfort, on February 20th via Kanine Records. The Hong Kong-based shoegaze / dream-pop band, recently gave us a taste with the LP Track “Something Blue.” Lucid Express will play The New Colossus Festival, NYC in March 2026 and will announce additional live dates soon.

Instant Comfort is the first album from the band in over four years: after releasing their debut LP in 2021, they spent the past few years touring and playing festivals around the world, including Levitation. For this new collection of tracks, they collaborated with Kurt Feldman (The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Depreciation Guild) for overnight, trans-Pacific mixing sessions via Discord, and the stillness of the nighttime hours lends a shadowy, melancholic feel to the album.

The single finds singer Kim Ho reflecting on intimate moments shared with friends, lovers, and what-could-have-been, questioning what they really meant. The band’s soaring, bittersweet gaze-soaked rock carries this universal experience from their Hong Kong studio space, reflected in the accompanying visual featuring footage submitted by fans and friends across the globe.
