There will be three different versions of the songs, available exclusively on XL’s webstore and Standing On The Corner website. This Friday, Standing On The Corner will be performing in Brooklyn at Sugar Hill Supper Club with Lazy K and Styles P.

Standing On The Corner was founded in 2016 by Shamel Cee Mystery, aka Gio Escobar, in Brooklyn, New York. The collective released their eponymous debut album in 2016 followed by the critically acclaimed 2017 mixtape RED BURNS. Inspired by and made for the resilience and upheaval of all people of the African diaspora. Standing On The Corner can appear on any given Night as the beat of one drum, as an orchestra of 30, or as a phantom entirely, but always on the run. The Ensemble produces musical, visual, and experiential works that equate hyperlocal incidence to cosmological wisdom. Visiting sites of emotional resonance under the weight of subjective histories, SOTC seeks to uncover the mysteries of hidden truths through composition, concert happenings, multimedia exhibitions, video installation, and focused interpretation.
