Bon Iver releases a new video of DVD Commentary for SABLE, fABLE.  Along with the release,  Bon Iver has received a Grammy nomination  for Best Alternative Music Performance for the record’s lead single, “Everything Is Peaceful Love.” Sitting on the couch with co-producer Jim-E Stack, Justin Vernon walks viewers through the creation process and personal stories behind every song on the record, from the beginning in November 2019 to the music’s final release in 2025. Stack and Vernon discuss their favorite lyrics and synths, their collaborations with Danielle Haim, Dijon, Jenn Wasner and more.

SABLE, fABLE is also Bon Iver’s first new album in six years, and with it comes a love story set to lush, radiant music. While the record begins with the vulnerable unburdening of SABLE, those three songs seamlessly give way to a nine-track saga in which one person becomes two, darkness turns to salmon-colored beauty, and sadness transforms to unbridled joy. The album was Produced by Justin Vernon and Jim-E Stack, engineered by Ian Gold and Justin Vernon, mastered by Heba Kadry, and primarily recorded at Vernon’s April Base in Wisconsin, the LP includes contributions from BJ Burton, Carter Faith, Cory Henry, Danielle Haim, Dijon, Greg Leisz, Jacob Collier, Jenn Wasner (Flock of Dimes), Michael Gordon (Mk.gee), Rob Moose, Tobias Jesso Jr. and more.

Earlier this fall, Cristin Milioti, Jacob Elordi, St. Vincent’s Annie Clark, Flock of Dimes’ Jenn Wasner, Dijon and dozens of hopefuls auditioned to be Bon Iver’s replacement in the music video for SABLE, fABLE standout, “Day One” (feat. Dijon & Flock of Dimes), following Justin Vernon’s stint as a divorce attorney and limousine driver in “From,” his long walk from Wisconsin to California in “There’s A Rhythmn,” John Wilson’s take on “Everything Is Peaceful Love,” and a vast collection of lyric videos, trail cam streams and more.
