“514-415” by Bells Larsen

Bells Larsen releases his new album Blurring Time, on April 25th on Royal Mountain Records. The record is inspired by the many ways we write the ever-arriving self into existence. Designed to align with the timeline of his transition, he intentionally recorded his previous “high” voice and instrumentation in 2022, waited for his voice to drop after beginning testosterone, then asked frequent collaborator and longtime friend, Georgia Harmer to write vocal arrangements for his new “low” voice, helping him harmonize with his past self — an intentional, multilingual act of surrendering to change. Blurring Time was Produced by Graham Ereaux, The album’s lead single “514-415,” released today is accompanied by a video directed by boy wonder (Ryan Faist).

Bells is also announcing a North America tour today in support of Blurring Time, including stops in Los Angeles, Toronto, New York City, Montreal and more.

“”514-415″ is about the kind of long-distance relationship where you have an inkling that circumstance will prevent things from working out, but you still care deeply for the person nonetheless,” Bells explains. “It’s quite special to be with someone through many chapters of their life and them through yours, especially when those chapters are furnished with so much change – be that moving cities or transitioning (this song references both).”
