49th & Main have collaborated with producer/DJ Caolan Ryan and UK drill artist D38 on “Through The Rain,” out now on Counter Records. The artists came together after 49th & Main wrapped up a tour celebrating their lauded debut album ‘Happy Tears’. Around the same time, Caolan Ryan performed at Other Voices in his hometown of Dingle and opened for Fred again.. during his pair of Dublin performances. The single is the follow to previous releases from 49th & Main – “Pulse”, “Round The Block”, “Sleepwalking”, and “LIVE 4 THE WEEKEND.”

After connecting and swapping ideas, the initial foundation for “Through The Rain” came together in under 24 hours. The track made its live debut as an instrumental during a sold-out B2B set in Dingle this past May. It evolved further after bringing on South London MC D38, following his standout feature on Notion’s “TENTEN”. The finalized version was showcased during another collaborative set at Electric Picnic and is now officially lined up for release on Ninja Tune imprint Counter Records.

Marking one of the duo’s first forays into drill, the track opens with atmospheric synths and an emotive vocal refrain, the track builds into a propulsive club groove driven by weighty bass, crisp percussion and D38’s assured delivery.

The duo havr recently performed at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre, a completely sold-out debut North American tour, and notable appearances at festivals such as Glastonbury, Electric Picnic, and The Great Escape.
