The War on Drugs release new single “Pain”

The War on Drugs release new single "Pain". The track is off their forthcoming release 'A Deeper Understanding',

The War On Drugs release their fourth album, A Deeper Understanding, three weeks from today. Following lead single “Holding On” “Thinking of a Place” and “Strangest Thing,” The War On Drugs now present the second official single, “Pain.” It’s the track that features the album’s title in its lyrics, and also happens to be one of two songs Adam Granduciel cut, nearly-live, on his first night working with engineer Shawn Everett and the band — bassist Dave Hartley, keyboardist Robbie Bennett, drummer Charlie Hall and multi-instrumentalists Anthony LaMarca and Jon Natchez — at Sonora Recorders in Los Angeles.

The War On Drugs’ A Deeper Understanding is out August 25th via Atlantic Records. The band hits the road for two-plus months of touring beginning mid-September.
