The Kills guest on ‘Records In My Life’

We interviewed Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart of The Kills before their sold out show at The Commodore last week. It was an inspired music loving conversation that spanned early 80’s punk bands Bad Brains, Fugazi, up to the new Iggy Pop and even a loving mention of Captain Beefheart. Easily one of the best RIML episodes we’ve shot yet.

The Kills continue their tour on June 9th in Newport, England. Over their almost decade-and-a-half career, The band have released four records. Each one a restless, reckless enigmatic art statement that bristled with tension, anxiety, sex, unstudied cool and winking ennui, yet not one of them sounded like the previous one. Their latest release Ash & Ice is now out on Domino Records.

This The Kills on Records In My Life episode references the following albums:
1. Bad Brains – Black Dots
2. PJ Harvey – 4-Track Demos
3. Fugazi – Red Medicine
4. Rihanna – Anti
5. Iggy Pop – Post Pop Depressions
6. Captain Beefheart & his Magic Band – Safe as Milk
