Joey Fourr shares new song ‘Dirty Hole’

JOEY FOURR shares new song 'Dirty Hole', taken from the debut album 'TO THE FLOORR'

Joey Fourr has shared the new single ‘Dirty Hole’, taken from the debut album To The Florr, out on April 1st via Mïlk Records and cassette via Atelier Ciseaux.

Forming in 2012, JOEY FOURR hasn’t stopped once; playing shows in Japan with Umez, recording and releasing 11 EPs through various DIY labels (Art Is Hard, Reeks of Effort, Bad Paintings, Icecapades, Tigre Discs), and developing their songs by playing live with fellow DIY friends Shopping, Feature, Ravioli Me Away, Primetime, Trust Fund and King of Cats.

To the Florr was recorded in the basement of music venue Power Lunches, Dalston and Good Job in Bermondsey – a studio arts space each member had a studio in, before the bulldozers came to tear it all down late 2014.

The new collection of songs sees Joey’s songwriting shake off his earlier fuzz drenched EPs, now swimming in an iridescent sea of chorus and bubbles (and he wants you to join him). Inspiration in midst of recording was found in the music of Alain Souchon, Lizzy Mercier Descloux, Mykki Blanco, Jonathan Richman, Haruomi Hosono and Michael Jackson.

Centred on ex-Tubelord Joseph Prendergast, JOEY FOURR is also Moe Meade (Dog Legs) and Jack Barraclough (Halo Halo).
