Montreal singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Leif Vollebekk has unveiled the second song from his forthcoming album Twin Solitude, set for release on February 24 through Secret City Records.

Twin Solitude is the end result of Vollebekk changing his approach to songwriting and exploring new musical ideas that came to him on a whim. Many of the songs on the album were written in one sitting, including “Into The Ether” which came to be whilst playing piano.

Vollebekk recently shared the new video for his song “Elegy”, shot on a Florida beach at dusk with a steady cam that follows him dancing into the ocean. His international tour will start February 28 at NYC’s Mercury Lounge and includes European dates with Colorado folk artist Gregory Alan Isakov in March and April.

Vollebekk released his sophomore album North Americana in 2013, and since then has performed at the Newport Folk Festival and shared stages with Daniel Lanois, Beth Orton, Sinéad O’Connor, Patrick Watson, Coeur de Pirate, William Fitzsimmons and Sam Amidon.
