Ceremony announces "Your Life In America"

Ceremony, are excited to celebrate 12-years of endless touring with a three-night residency at The Echo in Los Angeles. The band will play a different set each night, drawing from their catalog of progressive hardcore. Known for their furious, brutal live shows, Ceremony will be joined by different support acts each night (including Antwon, Cold Beat, The World, Sex Stains, and more). A limited number of three-day passes for these all-ages shows are on sale for $35 and include a silkscreened posted designed by Jeremy Dean. Individual ticket sales and daily lineup announcements forthcoming.

Ceremony’s most recent record (their fifth album, and second on Matador Records), 2015’s The L-Shaped Man used singer Ross Farrar’s recent breakup as a platform to explore loneliness and emotional weariness. In order to tell Farrar’s story, Ceremony almost completely stripped back the propulsive hardcore of their previous records, turning every angry outburst into simmering despair. It brings to mind some alternate version of Joy Division that hasn’t quite lost all hope. The sound was abetted by producer John Reis, who honed his chops in seminal bands like Rocket from the Crypt, Drive Like Jehu, and Hot Snakes, and much of the gravelly aggression he experimented with in those bands is present on The L-Shaped Man.
